The Crime Map
Compare recorded crime by location and year: nine offense categories at reporting-district, division and council-district scale, 2010 to 2026. The 2024-25 changeover months and partial years are badged in the map, rate outliers driven by daytime population are hatched, and clearance is disabled at reporting-district scale, where it is too noisy to publish. NIBRS offenses are collapsed back to incidents and a single hierarchy is applied to both eras; classification agrees with LAPD's own Part 1-2 flag on 99.89% of 3.14M rows.
