Every figure on this page comes from a public record. Where a figure is a rate, the citywide number beside it divides the city's total by the city's population rather than averaging the fifteen district rates, which would give a different answer. A rank of 1 is the highest value among the 15 districts.
Three different population figures sit behind these sections. Parks, transit, commute and housing use the same census estimate apportioned to district lines, 3,852,504 across the city. Reported crime has its own apportionment from police reporting districts, and turnout is a share of registered voters. No figure on this page divides one of those by another.
The park count corrects the published panel. Four parks outside the city clip a district boundary by less than a hundredth of an acre between them, three in CD 11 and one in CD 5, and counting them gave those districts one to three parks they don't have.
