Where these numbers come from
Acreage is the assessor's lot area summed over each course's parcels, which is the land actually being assessed. Outlines are the OpenStreetMap course polygons, north up, at one scale across the page. The parcels often run past the playing surface, and the expanded view says so where the two differ by more than a quarter.
Tax is the fiscal year 2025-26 secured roll, net taxable value times the parcel's own tax rate area rate, plus the unsecured tax a course actually paid on its equipment. Checked against four printed bills: the values match to the dollar and the tax to the penny. Direct assessments for stormwater, lighting and parks appear only on the paper bill and are not included, so every figure here is a floor. Seven clubs report a property tax figure on their own Form 990 and six of the seven are higher than the number shown here, by about a third in aggregate.
A course is flagged tax-exempt where it files its own Form 990 as a 501(c)(7) social club. That is an exemption from federal income tax and not from property tax: the flagged clubs pay the bill shown beneath it, and the whole point of this page is what that bill comes to. Where a course files no Form 990 there is no public officer list, so the name shown is the owner or operator, taken from published reporting and sourced in the expanded view. Revenue and the club president, where shown, come from the club's most recent Form 990: revenue from the return's own total, the president from the officer list at Part VII. That officer is the one named for the fiscal year given in the expanded view, so at some clubs the post will have changed hands since. Names filed in capitals are set in upper and lower case here, which cannot recover an internal capital the filing dropped. A course with no filing is not thereby a for-profit business; that test has not been run.
